- First specify the finding or the concept.
- Next bring in 2-3-4 other sources (discussion, videos, lectures, format of class, reading) that compliment or highlight your choice. Also associate the idea/concept with "real life"- either private or public life or both.
- Finally - sum it up and reveal how it does and will henceforth affect your life.

OK here is the Q: due 2 PP last day of class
what ONE finding or concept about gender "hit you" pointedly - and really made you think about and act towards gender in a new way. You get 2 pages, and that includes your name and title.

ReplyDeleteI gave a few examples that day. As I recall they were:
1. someone said, "I 'do better' with a windowless one-room apartment than I did with a red Porshe."
2. how the discussion of male rape changed me after I heard of another woman teacher molesting a 14 year old student
3. the maturing effect of the military on a person
4. the general theme of linking and ranking, finding sameness vs. one upping
also how long does it have to be? is 2 pages ok??
ReplyDeleteyes two page max. if however, your writing is excellent and you absolutely must spill over to page three you may do so - again, if your writing is excellent.
