i think that this is a good quote that many women probably feel that is true. they probably do think that it will take awhile to finally be equal with men
ReplyDeleteWow, awesome quote! I too believe that is true, but it may be for a looooong while. Maybe a kazillion years. There are still women today fighting for rights for equality. I took WOMN203 and studied this case where these workers who were female and Mexican, were paid lower than minimum wage for Forever 21 not too long ago (ok, maybe around 2003 or so)and they were the ones who make the clothes. It took them so long to win the case. I think they won like in 2007. Some people set women equality back a couple years =/
ReplyDeleteAs women begin to earn equally to men, they will not be considered "appendages" or "accessories". Notice how women do not judge men on their looks alone whereas it is still the first thing that men seem to see in a woman.
