I think men are afraid of their feelings because they might sound bad when they start to talk about their feelings. Women love to talk about their feelings because women are more sensitive and love to express everything out of them
I think we dont socially accept men expressing their feelings from a young age when boys cry its tough it out but girls its ok and that continues on thru adult hood you hear the phrase "dont be a little bitch" but everyone comforts the crying girl. We program people into behaving this way
Men are not suppose to show their emotions because that would make them as the weaker sex according to society, while womens emotions are more acceptable by society to be shown
I think by society, men have a lot of pride and don't want to show any sensitivity. Also, it's like standardized that men shouldn't be sensitive but to be tough as of women they are seen to be more emotional and open and submissive. But, honestly, I think it's a pride thing.
Women tend to be less powerful economically. Women tend not to be "the boss" or "in control." These two things ... create more feelings, confusion, loss - and engender a need to talk. Look at it as power-based, not just sex-based.
From a social standpoint, society sees if a man talks too much about getting hurt from someone or wining about work, their being a girl. Men distinguish and maintain themselves as men by not being so emotional and "taking it like a man."
i believe that men cant whine and talk too much because if they do that society sees them as acting like girls and i also think that many men feel that a woman isnt into a man who is like that
